Patrick completed his Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) where he investigated primarily the regulation of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) formation during normal mouse embryogenesis. With a deepened interest for stem cell biology, Patrick joined Dr. Sauvageau’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2021. His current research focuses on characterizing and improving HSC expansion for clinical use.
