Hana obtained her B.Sc Honours in Cellular and Molecular Biology along with a minor in Multidisciplinary Sciences (Science College member) at Concordia University. As part of her B.Sc Honours thesis she studied the mechanisms underlying the potent age-delaying properties of PE21 in yeast at the Titorenko lab. Her profound interest in molecular/cellular biology in conjunction with her eagerness to unravel the mysteries of cancer drove her to the Sauvageau Lab in early 2020 to start her M.Sc whose focus is on the identification of prognostic markers in acute myeloid leukemia. Despite her down-to-earth devotion to fundamental science, Hana is passionate about literature and hides an artist’s heart.

Hana is the recipient of the Bourse de Mérite de la Faculté de Médecine as well as a Bursary granted by the Program of Molecular Biology of UdeM.
