• Jean-François Spinella earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Université de Montréal, where he explored the molecular basis of pediatric leukemia using bioinformatics and machine learning approaches. He joined Guy Sauvageau’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow and main bioinformatician of the Leucegene project in 2017, focusing on the characterization of novel anomalies in acute myeloid leukemia and contributing to the identification of drug vulnerabilities. In 2023, he became a research associate and now leads the laboratory’s bioinformatics analysis program.
  • Jean-François received an Ivado and a CIHR Fellowship during his postdoctoral studies.
