Seerat Elahi, M.D., Ph.D.

Seerat received her master in public health (MPH) and medical degree (MD) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She worked as a general physician for two years before pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Pathology from State University of New York at Buffalo and conducted her research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. After completion of her Ph.D., Seerat joined laboratory of Dr. Sauvageau in 2019 as a postdoctoral fellow. Her current research is focused on investigating the underlying pathological pathways causing resistance to acute myeloid leukemia with the goal of providing more efficient treatments.
Seerat is the recipient of a Cole’s foundation Fellowship.
